Our riders
Max Gordon

Max Gordon is an amateur event rider who competes at top level alongside his career as a barrister based from 42 Bedford Row Chambers, London. Max inherited his passion for equestrianism from his parents and at a young age had much success competing in working hunter classes, including at The Horse of the Year Show and The Royal International Horse Show. His love of eventing was cemented at an early age when, at 13 years old, he became the youngest rider ever to win the Individual Open Eventing Pony Club Championship.

Max also has two other rides. Jerpoint Eclipse has just graduated to Intermediate and will be competing at 3* level this year, aimed to go on to Blenheim 8/9 year old 4*. The latest addition to the team is Shades of Sligo II. He’s a very promising youngster who has been placed in all three events thus far and is showing great promise. “I love producing horses and taking the journey together. I think it can be very important to build that partnership and I enjoy seeing a young horse progress and learn.”
