Dinja van Liere

As a young girl, Dinja van Liere (1990) received a ten-ride ticket from her grandfather for the riding school in Wolphaersdijk. She immediately fell in love with the sports. Dinja is now the rising star of Dutch dressage, after a very strong European Championship in Hagen with the mare Haute Couture and her victory in the Grand Prix and second place in the freestyle to music at the prestigious CHIO Aachen (2021). And her real success story seems to be just beginning. In the current world ranking, Dinja van Liere is now in eighteenth place with Hermès.

An eventful year

2021 was Dinja’s year. Emotional, but a big step on the road to success: “With Haute Couture and Hermès I had two super horses and I wanted to ride them at the top of the sport. We are looking for the competition and that has worked out very well. I’m just better when it comes down to something important. I don’t freeze, don’t slam shut quickly and I don’t have any nerves. In Rieky Young I also have a real top coach. She also tells me to just focus on my horse, nothing else matters.”
